Our Brace Post achieves ‘Swing Sequence #5’ also known as the ‘Top Of Back & Up Swing’ (TOB). ‘Impact & Separation’ is known as ‘Swing Sequence #8 or Bottom Of Swing Arc. (BOSA) Your ‘555 Team’ also refers properly to this as the ‘Chase. Follow, Finish and Hold Segment’. (see SS #8a, #9 and #10)(see Top Of Front Swing’ or TOF – SS #10)
A quick note is that we must not establish a ‘Set-Up Stance that is too wide. This ‘Over-Do’ error inhibits ‘Hip Axis Rotational Freedom’. Another aspect is ‘Foot Aim’. Your Brace Foot must tend to be Square while the Target Foot must be flared Open about 45 to 55 degrees. We have our term known as ‘Steer So You Can Clear’. You are familiar!
Top Of Back & Up Swing (TOB or Brace Post), Impact and through to Top Of Front Swing (TOF or Target Post) must be recognized as functional ‘Balance Points’. Hence the ‘Finish & Hold’ discipline. You will recall that the Brace Foot Tap Tap Tap Drill at TOF proves that your ‘Pivot Engine’ has actually released ‘In Balance’. A huge golf problem is arms over legs!
How do we accomplish this ‘Balance’? It is accomplished primarily by proper Set-Up, ‘Ocular Acuity’ and ‘Inner Ear Functionality’. (see ‘Silliae’) It is important to accomplish ‘Forward Inclination’ with a little ‘Aft Tilt’. (LBM or Spinal Core) With this discipline we shall establish functional ‘Knee Flex’. (see ‘13 Primary Articulating Joints’ or ‘PAJ’).
