Doing especially athletic activities ‘In Balance’ is better than ‘Out Of Balance’! This is a simple point to make for YOU! The ‘Primary Imperative’ in golf is a ‘Steady Head’ and an ‘In Control Target Wrist Hinge’.
This has been described as ‘A Flat Left Wrist’ but does not necessarily have to be “Flat”. It does, however, have to be ‘Stable’ through the ‘Impact & Separation Zone’. The ‘Two Primary Alignments In The Game Of Golf are Clubface Aim and your Shoulder Axis Alignment’. Think of how much control is exerted on your ‘Lever Assemblies’ to you Clubhead.
Do you think ‘Stable and Quiet Lever Triangles’ matter? Are ‘Flippy Wrists’ good or bad?
Let us assume that we are perfectly ‘Set-Up’ as all ‘555 Golf Family’ understand! We are ‘Forward Inclined and Aft-Tilted with Adequate Knee-Flex’ … Athletically Ready. Our ‘Lever Assemblies’ are in good position to make an ‘On Path & On Plane Orbital Take-Away, move back & up to the Top Of Back Swing (TOB – SS #5), then Transition and finally dropping and hitting ‘Down Out, Forward & Through’ (DOFT) the ‘Collision Point’.
What if we get out of ‘Pivotal and Lever Balance’ and make a Take-Away (Back & Up Swing) that is very ‘Below Plane and Laid Off’? (very Shallowed Out) The result is that we must make tricky ‘Manipulations or Compensatory Mechanical Changes’.
If we get ‘Below Plane and Laid Off’ (Flat In Our Take-Away) our inner senses will know where we are headed … not a good place! Variability happens! Consistency is compromised!
Getting ‘Low’ often results in ‘The Fix’ … creating extra ‘Lever Lift or Height’. This compensation often causes us to swing our hands higher and to end up too high. We end up ‘Over The Top, Above Pane and Casting’ with ‘Ball Flight Shapes that’ are deserved! (see ‘Curvature and Trajectory Issues’)
Does ‘Too Low’ make us end up ‘Too High’?
