Work Smart – Posture Trumps Ball Location

This ‘Country Gentleman Golf Teacher’ just read an article about ‘Ball Location and Eye Position’. These two aspects were accomplished as an absolute priority! It dealt with ‘Posture’ as a secondary task. If you just kept bending over more and more, you would eventually get your ‘Eyes Over or past the ball but with loss of postural benefits. The article showed their readers how the eyes can be ‘In Front & Behind or Forward & Aft and the Optimal Ball Location’.
True procedure but what about the absolute primary ‘Set-Up Challenge Of Posture’? Especially if you are making ‘Full Swings’, what if you are too tall / upright or too bent over? That is a significant problem to short and long-term back wellness and Ball Flight success.
Our ‘555 Golf Set-Up Sequence’ are ‘Posture, Grip, Stance, Ball Location & Alignment’ and in that order of priority. Get your Spinal Axis in proper configuration ‘Before’ any other component. Now simply ‘Cry On The Ball For Putting’. If you are missing this ability, ‘Move Your Feet Forward or Back’ to get the bridge of your nose over the Putting Ball. Of course, if you are hitting the Driver, your Set-Up Protocols will be different. (see ‘Shaft Plane’)
A small but important point: If you use the Equatorial Ball Line to establish ‘Aim and Alignment’, point this line slightly towards the ‘Bridge Of Your Nose’ (Focal Point) to compensate for ‘Forward Inclination and Swing Plane’. Aft-Tilt is a pertinent facet!
‘Spinal Crankshaft or Engine’ trumps ‘Plumb Eye Line’ and NOT the other way around! Time for some ‘Slow Motion Tinkering’?
