In the form of a friendly and sensible list that can stand the pressure and heat in the kitchen!
1. Irons strike a ‘Descending Blow’ … feel ‘Bottom Of Swing Arc’ (BOSA) Aft Of Ball
2. Be aware of and Set-Up your ‘Clubhead Path’ … ‘Inside-Out Sq Sq and Outside-In’
3. ‘Clubface Aim’ is a permanent ‘Primary Element’. (Golf’s #1 Kingpin’)
4. Ball Location is always relevant to the ‘BOSA’ … just inside Target Heel. Think of just inside the ‘Target Clavicle’.
5. Tee Height should place about half of the ball just above the ‘Driver ‘Top Plate’. Sweet Spot must be actually ‘Set-Up’. (see ‘PSR) Fat and Thin are weak variables.
6. Know where your ‘Ballistic Point Is Located’. (see ‘Bottom Inside Cheek’ …Red Dot) Feel ‘Inside & Behind. Proper head position produces ‘Aft Tilt’ and effective ‘Swing Plane & Clubhead Path’
7. Strive to control your ‘Angle Of Attack or Angle Of Approach’. (AOA) Should be the same for all of your irons. Putter and Driver are different! Want ‘Consistency’, here is a good place to start’
8. Learn to establish and utilize an ‘Intermediate Target’ … 15 Inches in front of the golf ball … not 10 or 36 inches. (see ‘Consistent Effective Peripheral Vision’ matters)
9. The Teed Up Driver requires an ‘Ascending Blow’. (see determined ‘Under-Spin Rate’
10. Set-Up relaxed ‘Lever Assemblies’ for extension, width and speed
11. Set-Up and use a moderately soft ‘Grip Pressure’. This element tends to create ‘Side-Spin Control’. A very tight Grip invites a Fade Slice Ball Flight Curvature’. The flip side is true about the reality of the ‘Draw Hook’. ‘Snap Hooks’ demand ‘Fast Hands’
12. ‘Ocular Acuity’ never gets old.
13. ‘Pulmonary Pressure Control’ never goes out of fashion.
