Every ‘Putting & Chipping procedure has it dedicated ‘8 Step Putting & Chipping Pre-Shot Routine’. We use various aspects of this very important learned skill with all or each of the above, even the short dead straight up the slope Putt! The full routine is simply more thorough.
All real ‘On Course Putts & Chips’ are random, so practise these every outing! Your insurance policy is your proven ‘8 Step PSR’. When you are really proficient (machine-like) you shall even look forward to each opportunity to show off your skills! Be absolutely focused! Breathe deeply! Use your ‘Ocular Acuity’! Be ‘Pivot Stable’ and relaxed!
