This golf mechanical term was coined and utilized decades ago by your industrious, curious and dedicated ‘555 Academy IRGO Team’. Is the term useful and worthy of our continued consideration? Good teaching creates practical names and links them to practicality! We use this teaching asset on a regular basis and it has stood a decades long test of time.
Stick around! We are about to tell you more! ‘Pivot Waggle’ is a hovered miniature practice swing. It defines the ‘Stroke Characteristics’ (Timing and Tempo) you have selected and facilitates ‘beneficial relaxation’. It is almost a ‘Putting Stroke’ made before you Drive!
What is ‘Pivot’? We have a two-part ‘Golfing Physiology’, the Lower and Upper Body Machines. The Lower Body Machine is also known as your ‘Core’, the top of your head to the soles of your feet. When we softball pitch it is our ‘Lower Body Core that generates the bulk of the ‘Rotational Power’. This is called ‘The Pivot’. It can perform from Micro to Macro.
What is ‘Waggle’? The dog’s tail usually ‘Waggles’ … small ‘Micro Spinal Appendage’ moves! We golfers learn how to make ‘Micro Movements’ combined with progressive ‘Lever Assembly Triangular Moves’. (see Shoulder Sockets, Upper Arms, Elbows, Forearms, Wrists and Hands’.)
Then, what is ‘Pivot Waggle’? It is practical miniature discipline currently in use throughout our ‘Global System’. It is the combination of ‘Core Rotation’ and ‘Bend & Straighten Brace Lever Assembly’ moves to about our ‘Optimal Stroke Length’. (see ‘Longest Putter Take Away’)
In our ‘Pre-Shot Routine’ (PSR) we can make micro-cooperated ‘Pivot & Waggle’ motions. One can undertake making very big ‘Full Practice Swings’ but, why do so when a ‘Micro Version’ shall suffice. Besides, how many Full Swings’ can one make during a round before you run out of energy? If you make three practice swings per each carded strike, that might equate to 3X120 or 360 practice swings if you are a weekender! That is a lot of wasted energy and motions?
