You already know a lot about our ‘5 Set-Ups’ and the companion ‘5 Essential Elements’ (Clubface Aim at the Moment of Separation, Clubhead Path, Clubhead Speed, Sweet Spot & Angle Of Attack or AOA).

Our Alignment is accomplished with what we refer to as the ‘Railway Track Syndrome’. Our Golf Mechanics, similar to the railways tracks, has two rails … 1) The Target Line Rail (Ball to Far Target) as well as 2) The Body or Foot Line Rail. This is the rail upon which we stand and with which we often ‘Set-Up’ our ‘5 Alignment Axes’ … 1) Ankles, Knees, Hips, Shoulders & Ears). When these are each in proper positional and mechanical balance, we get predictable and pleasing ‘Ball Flight Performance’.

Remember perfect or optimal conditions is a ‘Square Clubface Aim’ directly at the target with a ‘Clubhead Path’ that is traveling directly to the ‘Far Target’ through the ‘Impact & Separation Zone’. Full release is accomplished through the ‘Impact & Separation Zone’. (see ‘ALSDR’ – Accumulate, Load Store, Deliver & Release … Power Line Delivery Sequence’)

What is a ‘Block’? It is a ‘Clubface Aim’ issue. This error occurs when we get ‘Rigid or Tight Hands’ that do not release through the ‘Impact & Separation Zones’ (I&S). This means that the ‘Clubface’ does not ‘Square Up to the ‘Target Line through the ‘I&S Zone’. This produces a ‘Fade Bias Spin Rate’ … curvature towards the ‘Low Energy Side Of The Target Line’… The other side of the ‘Block Coin’ is the ‘Flip-Handed Side’. This produces a ‘Draw Bias Spin Rate’. (see ‘Curvature’)

What is a ‘Push’? It is a ‘Clubhead Path’ issue. If the ‘Clubhead Path’ (Inside-Out Travel Line) is 45 degrees towards the ‘Low Energy Side of the Target Line’ with a Clubface Aim that is ‘Square To This Line’, then we get a ‘Dead Straight Push’. (No Spin Rate Curvature)

The opposite conditions are also relevant. With a 45 degree closed ‘Clubface Aim’ with an Outside-In Travel Line) ‘Clubhead Path’ that is also 45 degrees towards the ‘High Energy Side of the Target Line’ (Square Aim & Path), we will create a dead straight ‘Pull’. (No Spin Rate Curvature)
